Post-mortem examination carried out on man's body found at Arlington Apartments last Friday

A post-mortem examination has been carried out on the body of a man, found in the Arlington Apartments carpark in Hopper Street on Friday 1 July.

Police are now able to release the man's name. He was Sanjai Kumar, aged 40 years.

Detective Senior Sergeant Donna Howard of the Wellington CIB says the matter is now being referred to the Coroner, however Police would still like to hear from anyone who saw Mr Kumar, prior to his death at around 1:20pm on Friday afternoon.

"We want to hear from anyone who was in the Arlington Apartments or Hopper Street areas and saw Mr Kumar before 1:20pm on Friday. He was wearing navy blue trackpants with two red stripes down each leg and a grey checked flannelette long-sleeved shirt."
