Takapau Rd - Waipukurau

Police are at the scene of a fatal crash.

At about 6:20pm yesterday evening a member of the public located a car down a bank and contacted emergency services.

The sole occupant of the car who died at the scene is a 39 yr old male.

At this stage it is unknown as to the circumstances behind the crash or when it had occurred.
Police do not believe other vehicles are involved.

The details of the driver will not released until next of kin have been advised.
