Truck and trailer rolls - closes SH1 Brynderwyn Hills

A truck and trailor unit has rolled on State Highway One, Waipu, on the Brynderwyn Hills.

Police and other emergency services are still at the scene awaiting the arrival of a heavy haulage crane to remove the truck and associated debri from the road.

Until the scene has been cleared SH1 will be closed in the vicinity.

It is estimated that the road will be closed until 7pm.

Waipu Gorge Road is being utilised as a diversion, however this route is not recommended for heavy traffic.

Motorists intending to travel through this area are advised to delay travel if possible.
