The Wu-Tang Clan's GZA aka The Genius is heading to New Zealand! The Hip Hop icon will play a one off Wellington show at the San Francisco Bath House on Tuesday 2 August.  In support will be DJ Mathematics… official DJ for the Wu-Tang Clan.

GZA is a founding member of one of the most iconic Hip Hop acts in history, the Wu-Tang Clan. Throughout the years he has continued to appear with his fellow clan members on their solo projects as well as maintaining his own incredibly successful solo career.  Steve Huey of Allmusic called him "One of the best lyricists of the 1990s", while the editors of About.com ranked GZA #17 on their list of the Top 50 MCs Of Our Time, making him the highest ranking Wu-Tang Clan member on the list (ahead of Method Man, Ghostface Killah and Raekwon).

GZA is soon set to release his 7th solo album entitled Liquid Swords 2:The Return of the Shadowboxer. As well as showcasing songs from this, GZA will be performing tracks from his previous solo efforts, Wu-Tang Clan classics and his legendary Liquid Swords album in its entirety.
