Police car stolen in West Auckland

Police were called to an incident at about 4.45pm today in West Auckland. Two officers attended and whilst they were in the process of arresting an aggressive and violent offender, an associate from the address stole the patrol car. She drove the patrol car for about a kilometre before crashing into a vehicle driven by an innocent member of the public.

Nobody was injured; there was minor damage to both vehicles.

A West Auckland female will be appearing in the Waitakere District Court in relation to the incident.
