Male stabbed

On Sunday 31 July 2011 at about 1.50am a social function was concluding at the Hornby Soccer Club rooms at Denton Park.

As those attending the function were leaving they were approached by a group of about eight males and words were exchanged. A scuffle broke out and during the altercation a male in his early 20's suffered a stab wound to his side. The male had been attending the social function.

As a result of the stab wound the male received hospital treatment and was released early this morning.

Police would like to speak to anyone who was at the social function or know any of the people involved in the altercation.
