Homicide In Helensville

Rodney CIB has launched a homicide investigation as a result of the outcome of a post mortem examination carried out today on the deceased body of a 32 year old male. The details of the autopsy will not be revealed.

Police went to an address on SH16 in Helensville at 4.40pm on Friday 29 July 2011 after relatives discovered the body of a man at the property. A thorough scene examination has been in progress since yesterday and has continued today. ESR staff and other forensic experts are expected to take several days before their work is completed.

CIB staff and uniform officers are continuing their background enquiries with known associates and friends of the deceased male. The deceased male has been identified as:
