Do you want to reduce your energy costs and make your home more environmentally sustainable but don't know where to start?

We can help by providing a free Homecoach who will assess your place and help you to reduce your energy bills and the city's greenhouse gas emissions.

Our service provider, Home&dry, has trained Homecoaches who will provide you with a detailed action plan tailored to your home and specific needs.

They will offer simple tips, explain the changes you could potentially make and all the assistance on offer.

The assessment, which takes about two hours, is free and the Homecoaches will have subsidised, easy-to-install products with them, including low-flow showerheads, energy-efficient light bulbs and hot water cylinder wraps, that they can install on the spot if you want them to.

The Council will pay 50 percent of the cost of the products outlined above (up to a total of $115). We plan to assist at least 800 households and the goal is to help these homes reduce energy consumption by 5-10 percent.
