The search for a missing 19 year old kayaker will resume again tomorrow morning, once an analysis of information gathered today has been determined.

Police were notified of the missing kayaker, Cameron Peter Millar, about 6pm last night, after he was last seen by his companion.

Police Search and Rescue Acting Sergeant Anthony Harmer says around 15 LandSAR volunteers, Police Search and Rescue staff and members of the Eastbourne community have today completed a thorough shoreline search from Eastbourne to Pencarrow, including Worser Bay and Breaker Bay.

"A comprehensive marine and aerial search has also been completed over the course of the day. This search area was from Wellington Harbour and Channel from Point Halswell, Ward Island and Eastbourne, heading south out of the Heads into Fitzroy Bay to the West Ledge including Barrett's Reef."

Acting Sergeant Harmer says Police will tonight be analysing information gathered so far, to ascertain what searches will continue tomorrow morning.

"Police would like to thank the Eastbourne community volunteers, who have assisted in land searches today, as well as LandSAR volunteers, Coastguard, Westpac Rescue Helicopter, Airport Marine Rescue and Surf Lifesaving personnel."
