Police in the Hutt Valley are keeping the pressure on organised criminals and drug dealers.

Last night Lower Hutt Police arrested a person at a Seaview address following the execution of a search warrant.

Lower Hutt Tactical Coordinator Senior Sergeant Steve Harwood says Police used members of the Armed Offenders Squad, Special Tactics Group and the National Clan Lab team to execute the warrant in Hutt Park Road.

"We had reason to believe a clan lab was operating at the address. Whilst police did not locate one inside the property we did however arrest one person for possession of methamphetamine and located drug related items."

The 32 year old woman from Lower Hutt will appear in the Lower Hutt District Court next Tuesday.

Senior Sergeant Harwood says Police across the Hutt Valley announced in June that we were taking a zero tolerance approach to organised crime and drug dealers and we meant it.

"Police are committed to the fight against methamphetamine and other illicit drugs because of the serious harm and destruction it causes amongst our at-risk communities and those who continue to operate in these illegal circles can expect a visit from us soon."
