Fatal crash - Papatoetoe

At 0900 am today Police received a report of a car v lightpole crash in Great South Rd, Papatoetoe.

Emergency services attended and found the 2 occupants both trapped in their vehicle. The condition of one of the passenger deteriorated rapidly and he died a short time later.

The Serious Crash Unit examined the scene and the road has been re-opened.
