Update: Please be advised that the previous report was inaccurate. No one died at the crash. We are checking how we got this wrong and apoligise to the media.
About 5.50 am [yesterday] morning police and other emergency services were called to a vehicle crash in Ngutumanga Rd in Waihou, Matamata-Piako District.
Only one car was involved. The car had rolled and one person was thrown from the car. 2 other occupants were injured.
The Serious Crash Unit attended and examined the scene. The road has been re-opened.
