Arrest of offender for Lambton Square Shooting

An intense Police investigation and the assistance of the public has led to the arrest of a 39 year old WAIROA man for his discharging a firearm in WAIROA 27/08/2011.

The man handed himself into Police on Friday 9 September 2011 and was arrested and has been charged with Unlawful Possession of A Firearm and Reckless Discharge of A Firearm.

He is appearing in the GISBORNE District Court 12/09/2011.
