Motorcyclist named following road crash

A motorcyclist who was killed in a road crash at Foxton early this morning has been named as William David Fletcher, aged 50, from Rangiotu (between Foxton and Palmerston North).

Mr Fletcher was riding his Yamaha motorbike south on SH1 at approximately 4.45am when it was in collision with a Toyota car travelling north.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
