Innes Road - Fatal crash

At approximately 9.00 pm (12 September 2011) Police were advised of a serious crash at the intersection of Innes Road and Queen Elizabeth II Drive, Christchurch.

Emergency Services rushed to the scene and established a single vehicle had collided with a tree. The sole female occupant died at the scene.

Papanui Police and the Serious Crash Unit are investigating the cause of the crash. The next of kin have yet to be advised. No further information will be released until [later today].
