Extra buses again for next Whangarei RWC game

WHANGAREI

Whangarei's CityLink bus service is reminding patrons that it will be extending its services again for next week's Tonga versus Japan Rugby World Cup match at the Northland Events Centre.

The bus service - operated by North Bus and contracted to the Northland Regional Council – ran a number of extra buses over extended hours for yesterday's Whangarei-based RWC match between Canada and Tonga.

In addition to normal bus services on the day of the next local RWC game - which kicks off at 7.30pm on Wednesday 21 September - extra buses will run on regular routes to and from the central city Rose St terminus at the following times:

3 - Tikipunga via Kamo

7.15, 8.15, 9.15, 10.15 and 11.15pm

4 - Otangarei

5 - Raumanga via Morningside

7.15, 8.15, 9.15, 10.15 and 11.15pm

6 - Maunu

6.15, 7.15, 8.15, 9.15, 10.15 and 11.15pm

 

Sharlene Selkirk, the regional council's Public Passenger Transport Officer, reminds fans wanting to take advantage of the extra bus services that normal fares will apply.
