Arrest in overnight Cambridge assault

Te Awamutu Police investigating an assault on a woman overnight in Cambridge have arrested a man in relation to the incident.

Sergeant Chris Greenwood of the Te Awamutu Police said enquiries into the incident were continuing however he could confirm a 39-year-old Te Awamutu man had been arrested in relation to the alleged assault on a 30-year-old woman.

"Our investigation is still underway and we are not ruling out further arrests."
