Suspicious Deaths

Christchurch Police have advised they are investigating a suspicious death incident in Kaiapoi.

Police were called to a residential address in Kaiapoi, mid afternoon today [Tuesday 27 September] and located the bodies of an elderly male and an elderly female.

A scene examination is under way at the address.

The deaths are being treated as suspicious, however Police advise that at this stage no other persons are being sought in connection with the incident.

No further comment will be made by police tonight. Further updates will be issued tomorrow.
