Police investigate crash after car stops 20m down bank

Martinborough Police and the police serious crash team are investigating a fatal crash which occurred on a rural road 25kms East of Martinborough on Thursday evening.

Police were called to the crash scene on Hinakura Road soon after 10.00pm on Thursday night, after a vehicle with 4 occupants left the road and crashed down a 20 metre bank.

3 of the occupants of the vehicle survived with relatively minor injuries, however a female occupant was killed at the scene.
