2 car head-on collision

Police were called to a 2 car head-on collision at Great South Rd, Huntly at 6.35 pm tonight.

2 occupants from one car and 3 occupants from the other car were injured and taken to hospital by ambulance. 1 person was considered to be in a serious condition. All the patients were in their early twenties and they were all from Auckland.

The road was closed for a scene examination but has now been reopened.
