LOWER HUTT

Do you love animals and want to make a difference in your community?

We are looking for volunteers to exercise dogs and assist with other duties at our Animal Service Centre in Seaview.

This could also include helping in emergency situations, such as an earthquake or flood, where animals may be displaced and have to be looked after.

Animal services manager Les Dalton needs volunteers he can call on to assist and support his staff in caring for the welfare of the animals.

“We need at least 12 to 15 volunteers and already we’ve had a lot of interest from people wanting to get involved.”

Les says volunteering at the centre will be a rewarding experience and will contribute greatly to the health and wellbeing of animals in Lower Hutt.

“Full training will be provided. If you have a driver’s license, are reasonably fit and can handle a dog, we would love to hear from you.”

To register your interest in volunteering, call us on 04 570 6666.
