Southland - Fatal Crash

At 6.15 p.m. on Wednesday 12th October 2011 emergency services were called to a Josephville,Southland farm address due to a fatal farm accident.

A 40 year old local man was driving a bulkie truck on a steep bank spreading fertiliser when the vehicle rolled and he was thrown from the cab .He died at the scene.

The matter has been referred to the Coroner and Police in conjunction with Occupational Safety and Health are conducting an investigation.
