Temuka - Traffic Crash

Police and other emergency services are currently attending a crash involving two truck and trailer units on the Temuka River bridge just south of the South Canterbury town of Temuka on State Highway One.

It is believed there are injuries, however it isn’t known at this stage how serious those injuries are.

State Highway One has been closed at the crash scene and is expected to remain closed for several hours. The following detours have been put in place:

Southbound traffic:
From SH1 in Temuka, west onto Waitohi Temuka Road, south on Epworth Road through to Station Road, and then east along Station Road back onto SH1.

(Opposite direction for Northbound traffic)
