Fanzone Gears Up for Big Finale
It’s going to be a big Sunday at the New Plymouth Fanzone!
The venue is expected to be packed for the Rugby World Cup 2011 final between New Zealand and France.
“On average we’ve had a couple of hundred people in the Fanzone for the games during the tournament, with opening night by far the busiest,” says Manager Events Melissa Devine-Collins.
“We expect the Fanzone to be full of passionate rugby fans on Sunday, keen to watch the All Blacks on two big screens as they try to make history.
“We’d love to see fans dressing up. There have been great costumes at the stadiums throughout the tournament so let’s see what people can come up with on the final night!”
The Fanzone opens at 7pm, and fans will be able to enter a draw for a $200 Arborio voucher by guessing the first try scorer. There will also be face-painting available, with people able to order food and beverages from either the Fanzone or Arborio.
