Missing Diver

Police are currently co-ordinating a search for a missing diver in Omaio Bay, Bay of Plenty.

A 30 year male diver became separated from his companions and failed to return to the beach this morning.

Searches by plane, coastguard and local divers have failed to locate him.

The Police National Dive Squad has been mobilised from Wellington and will continue the search in the morning.

No further comment will be made at this stage.
