Auckland - Homicide

North Shore Police are investigating an incident at an address in the suburb of Hillcrest where the body of a young woman was found early this morning. A homicide enquiry has commenced.

Police went to an address in Eban Avenue at about 7.15am this morning Monday 7 November 2011 after a triple one priority call. On arrival they found the deceased body of a Caucasian female. A male who was at the scene is assisting investigators.

A weapon was located.

A police cordon is in place and investigations are now in progress.

Police are not looking for anyone else in relation to this incident.

A post mortem on the body of the deceased female will be held.
