Fatal car crash

Counties Manukau Police are appealing for witnesses to a fatal car crash in Ararimu on Friday night.

The driver, who was killed at the scene, was Mr James Sinclair aged 43, who lived locally.

Mr Sinclair was driving a gold coloured 1995 Isuzu Bighorn vehicle which caught fire after leaving the road and falling down a steep bank. Surrounding vegetation was destroyed by the fire.

The accident is believed to have happened soon after 9.30pm.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the crash who may not have already spoken to Police or anyone who saw the Isuzu Bighorn prior to the crash. Counties Manukau Police Serious Crash Unit can be contacted on 09 2611300 or 09 2611310.
