Baring Head Trust hosts public presentation on clean air monitoring
Clean air monitoring carried out at Baring Head by NIWA will be the theme of a public meeting being hosted by the Baring Head Trust on Thursday 24 November at 7.30pm.
Principal technician Atmospheric Chemistry, Gordon Brailsford, will outline the work of NIWA in taking weekly air samples from Baring Head located between Wellington Harbour and Palliser Bay.
The Baring Head Clean Air Monitoring Station has operated for more than 30 years and makes a significant contribution to global understanding of greenhouse gases.
Chair of the newly formed Baring Head Trust, Joy Baird, said the meeting to be held at the Pelorous Trust Sports House in Hutt Park was open to the public and friends of Baring Head.
