Hillcrest - Homicide victim named

North Shore Police have released the name of the young woman whose deceased body was discovered at her home in suburban Hillcrest yesterday. She was:

DOB 16.04.1993 – Age 18 years:
Resident of North Shore – Auckland:

An 18 year old man appeared in the North Shore District Court this morning charged with the murder of the above named.

CHAND/Akshay/Anand - is remanded in custody until Tuesday 29 November 2011. No plea has been entered. Name suppression was not sought.

A post mortem examination is being held today.
