Witness sought to Mt Maunganui assault

Tauranga Police are investigating the serious assault of a local 33 year old man outside Burger King, Mt Maunganui at about 3:45 am on Saturday morning, 12 November, 2011.

A 23 year old Cambridge man was arrested shortly after the assault.

Police are seeking the assistance of a male who is a possible witness to this assault.

The witness sought by Police was crossing Banks Avenue toward Pitau Road on the pedestrian crossing outside Burger King.
