Tai Tapu collision

A car and a 4WD collided on State Highway 75 near Tai Tapu at about 2340 hrs on Wednesday 16 Nov 2011. The driver of the car travelling towards Tai Tapu from Christchurch appeared to have died instantly. The driver and passenger of the 4WD travelling in the opposite direction suffered minor to moderate injuries and were taken to Christchurch Hospital by Ambulance.
Senior Constable Jim Manning of Lincoln Police is investigating the crash. The name of the deceased will be released when NOK have been located and informed.
