Police question man who presented imitation pistol at shopkeeper
Shortly after 10.30am today (Thursday 18 October) Police responded to a report of an incident in a dairy on Selwyn St, Sydenham, Christchurch.
An offender had decamped on foot, before being located by Police near to the scene.
An imitation pistol and other items of interest were recovered and an 18 year old male is currently assisting Police with there enquiries.
Part of the Police investigation will centre on determining any link with the Aggravated Robbery of a dairy in the nearby suburb of Somerfield yesterday, as well as similar reported incidents, also in the south christchurch area, in recent weeks.
Nobody was injured in today's incident and no property was taken.
