Lake Wanaka - missing person

Police Dive Squad continue to search for missing, 70 year old Trevor Hawke on Lake Wanaka.

Now, after three and half days of searching, there is still no sign of Mr Hawke.
Police SAR Coordinator Sergeant Aaron Nicholson said that after today's efforts the Police Dive Squad has completed a full search of the main area of interest. Further witness information that came to hand suggested that the position Mr Hawke was last seen, was further west and this has been searched also to no avail.

Police Intend to continue the search tomorrow in an area even further west into the lake and remain positive about getting a result. Sergeant Nicholson said that after tomorrow's efforts, Police will reassess the effectiveness of the search and speak with the family about future options.
