Record number of entries in Pavlova competition

Judges have a hard task next week with a record number of entries in the annual Nosh Pavlova Competition (Tuesday 6 December).
More than 70 people have taken the challenge to prove their pav-worth at next week’s competition.
Some of the entrants include a group of 15 girls from EGGS (Epsom Girls Grammar) and three young boys from Glen Innes Primary School.
Pav-masters will deliver their creations to Nosh Mt Eden on Tuesday between 8-9am for judging from 9-10am. The winner will be announced at 2pm.
New Zealand culinary queen Tui Flower says the perfect pav needs a marshmallow middle and a crisp outside. Last year’s competition produced some very creative entries but the winning entry was a traditional Kiwi pav from a recipe that had been in the family for 40 years.
Media are welcome to come along to cover the event.
