Further arrest in Waitangirua serious assault in October
Porirua Police have arrested a further person in connection to a serious assault in Waitangirua in October where a 23 year old was left requiring facial reconstruction surgery following the incident.
Detective Sergeant Steve Dunn of the Porirua CIB says this morning a 30 year old Wairarapa woman has appeared in the Porirua District Court charged with two counts of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm. The woman has been remanded in custody to reappear at a later date.
"This follows the arrest of a 24 year old Masterton woman on the 21st of November, who also faces the same charges."
At about 2.30am on Saturday 1 October, the 23 year old victim from Cannons Creek and his friend got into an altercation with a group of people in the carpark of the Waitangirua Mall and as a result, received some serious head and facial injuries.
"We'd like to thank members of the public and Wairarapa Police for assisting us with this investigation, after it aired several weeks ago on TV2's Police Ten-7."
