Tauranga Police release Homicide victim name

BIDOIS, aged 50 of Tauranga was the male discovered dead in 4th Avenue, Tauranga on the evening of 6th December 2011.

Police have been liaising with Mr BIDOIS's family who have asked for privacy.

The Detective Senior Sergeant confirmed that the Police were conducting a homicide investigation.

Good process is being made, but Police would still like to speak to anyone who was in 4th Avenue between 6 pm and 10 pm Tuesday the 6th December 2011.

The post mortem has been completed. These results will not be released to the media.

The investigation will be reviewed with the Crown Solicitor before a decision is made on the appropriate charges.

As the matter is before the courts Police will make no further comment."
