Missing 9 year old

Police are currently searching the environs of Victoria Park, in the hill suburb of Christchurch (off Dyers Park Road), after a 9 year old autistic boy went missing around 1630 hours from the playground area while visiting there with family members.

The boy is described as follows:
Male Caucasian
Medium build
Brown shortish hair
Red t-shirt
Khaki/light brownish shorts
Black sandals

The boy may answer to his name - Seamus.

Police would like to hear from anyone, particularly track walkers, who may have seen the missing boy in or around Victoria Park since 1630 hours. Ring Christchurch Police 3637400.
