Fatal Crash update

<p>At about 8.15am this morning two vehicles were involved in a crash on State Highway 4 just south of Tikitiki Road.<br /> <br /> The 18 year old male driver of one of the vehicles died as a result of his injuries at the scene.<br /> <br /> The driver of the other vehicle sustained only minor injuries and was taken to Te Kuiti Hospital as a precaution.<br /> <br /> The crash occurred on a 75 kph advisory speed bend and it was raining at the time.<br /> <br /> Police urge all drivers to moderate their speed in these wet conditions and to be extra vigilant in this busy traffic period leading up to Christmas.<br /> <br /> It is too early to comment on the cause of the crash and the Te Kuiti Police and Serious Crash Unit are continuing with the investigation.</p>
