Farm Bike Accident: Maihiihi, Otorohanga District

At about 8pm this evening a crash occurred on a rural property in Maihiihi, Otorohanga.

A male, 46 years of age, was riding a two wheel farm bike when he crashed into a farm gate on his property.

He was thrown from the bike approximately ten metres and sustained serious head injuries.

He was airlifted Waikato Hospital where he is in a serious condition.

Occupational Safety and Health will investigate this accident in due course.
