The local New Zealand version of YouTube launches today at nz.youtube.com.

The new local site makes finding New Zealand content much easier and also has a most viewed videos by New Zealanders section.
The most recent page gives an interesting look at how many YouTube videos are being uploaded by New Zealanders which seems to be a reasonable number.
YouTube Australia launched yesterday with a number of local media companies joining on, notably Fairfax Media who run Stuff.co.nz in New Zealand:
"Fairfax Media plans to use its YouTube channel to accept politically-charged questions from users, which it will to put to politicians as part of an internet debate for this year's federal election."
