South Western Motorway - Ped ran over by truck

Update from South Western Motorway Job this morning.

To advise that both the Walmsley Rd overbridge and the south-bound lane of the motorway that was closed is now OPEN.

The deceased is a female, age still unknown at this time.

Police are looking for a truck and trailer that travelled south-bound on the motorway going under the Walmsley overbridge between 5.30am and 5.40am this morning.

The truck and trailer unit would be heading for either the Airport or continuing south towards Manukau.

Police are appealing for any motorists and/or witnesses who may have either witness the incident or seen the truck and trailer on the motorway at that time.
