Flooding in the Waikato District

To advise that Wentworth Valley Rd in the Waikato is flooded from heavy rain and is under knee depth of water.

A standard vehicle has been washed away from this road during previous flooding and Police urged motorists not to use this stretch of road unless you're driving a 4 x wheel drive.

Situation being closely monitored by Police.
