Fatal vehicle collision

Two cars have collided on State Highway 8 just east of Lawrence, it appears a vehicle travelling towards Milton has come around a corner, slid in the wet conditions and collided with a second vehicle travelling towards Lawrence. The deceased female was the sole occupant of her vehicle. The two occupants of the second vehicle have sustained injuries and have been transported to Dunedin hospital. Weather conditions appear to be a contributing factor however police are continuing with their investigation.
