Queenstown Lodge Offers 'Geographic' Photo Retreats

QUEENSTOWN

Queenstown Alpine lakeside luxury hideaway Matakauri Lodge offers the opportunity of a photography retreat with tuition by internationally-renowned Geographic and landscape photographers.

Capture Queenstown's rugged and majestic landscape with exclusive coaching from Mike Langford (FAIPP,FNZIPP) and Jackie Rankin (MAIPP,FNZIPP), two internationally recognized landscape photographers. Under Mike and Jackie, attendees will learn to manage and manipulate images with confidence and speed, learning a variety of trade tips and tricks, to create stunning photos whilst experiencing one of the most scenic regions of New Zealand.

Mike Langford was Australian Geographic photographer of the year (1992), NSW Landscape photographer of the year (2002), NZIPP Landscape and Architecture Photographer of the year (2006) & Australian Landscape Photographer of the year (2007). Jackie Rankin on the other hand, was Canon Australia's Photographer of the year (2002), AIPP Landscape Photographer of the year (2003, 2004), and her works awarded with the AIPP Photo book of the year (2005).

The Matakauri Lodge Digital Photography half day tuition (12noon to 6pm) is NZ$640 for up to two people. This includes refreshments, and must be booked in advance.
