Serious Assault

At about 1.11am on Saturday 14 January 2012, Police were called to a fight in Bates Street, Papakura.

On arrival they found a 23 year old male had been stabbed with a broken bottle.

The victim was taken to Hospital with serious but non life threatening injuries.

A male is currently at Counties Manakau Police Station helping Police with their enquires.

It appears that alcohol played a large part in this incident.

The Police are not seeking anyone else in relation to this incident.
