Police hunt Palmerston North gunman
At 10.15 pm last night Wednesday 24th October 2007 a male approached an house in Geraldine Cres Cloverlea Palmerston North.
After bashing on the door an occupant answered the door but closed it after seeing the male was armed with a firearm, probably a shotgun. A shot was then fired through the door.
The occupant of the address was cut with flying glass from the door as a result of the shot and has been taken to hospital.
Palmerston North CIB are investigating.
The offender was wearing a dark balaclava and described as being 5'8' tall with dark clothing and slim build.
He is believed to have left in a older style blue liftback with three other persons.
Any reports of suspicious behaviour including suspicious vehicles in the Geraldine Cres Cloverlea area to Palmerston North Police.
