Manurewa - Police Shooting

This afternoon (Jan. 21), police were called to a domestic violence incident in Manurewa. On arrival the Police were confronted by an irate male.

The Police withdrew from the address and requested the support of other tactical options before making an approach. Before those options arrived the male confronted a police officer and was shot in the leg.

The male has a non life threatening wound to the leg and is undergoing treatment.

This matter is now subject to a Police and IPCA enquiry and no further information is available.
