Auckland Police confirm that the search warrant executed at a Kupe street, Orakei address today has no connection with the search warrants and arrests made last week throughout the country.

Auckland CIB have been investigating a kidnapping incident reported to police on Saturday the 20th of October.

On Tuesday the 23rd of October three people were arrested in Orakei in relation to this incident.

They all appeared in the Auckland District Court yesterday.

One of the accused 26 year old Jason Williams had provided the court with a false bail address on a previous occasion. This address is 107 Kupe street.

Mr Williams was arrested at another Kupe street address on Tuesday at which time the 107 Kupe street warrant was in existence.

Jason Williams and two co-accused have been charged with blackmail, commission of a crime with a firearm and kidnapping.

They have all been remanded in custody for two weeks.

The court has imposed a suppression order around the identity of the victim.
