Administrative Call For Parties Charged Over Pike River Explosion

There will be a hearing in the Greymouth District Court tomorrow relating to the charges laid by the Department over the Pike River tragedy.

This hearing is expected to be administrative and the Department and defendants will be represented by counsel. It is highly unlikely that the hearing will involve pleas. The hearing is likely to be only a rollover of dates to allow the continuation of the discovery process.

The hearing is set for 10am 31 January 2012.
