On Saturday 10 March, the annual Botany Community Day will be held at Botany Town Centre.

This great event is a chance for local residents to come along to the centre and get advice from organisations such as Inland Revenue, the Salvation Army and the Botany Crimewatch Patrol. Local creative arts centre Uxbridge has organised a live entertainment schedule for the day. As well as entertainment and information, local residents can have free dental checks, health checks and breast screening.

The day is being organised by local figures including Pastor Mark van Wijk of the BotanyLife Community Church and Community Constable Gary Boles. Pastor van Wijk says that the day is shaping up to be a great event and will be invaluable to the residents of Botany.

“There will be a great range of stallholders at Botany Town Centre and it is a great opportunity for new residents and immigrants to familiarise themselves with the area and see what services are available to them.”

Botany Community Day is designed with the community in mind and with the goal of helping local residents get the most out of the area.

There is still the opportunity for service providers to register a stall at Botany Town Centre for the Botany Community Day. Any interested parties can register at www.botanycommunityday.co.nz but they need to be in quick as spaces are limited and they are filling fast. The community day runs from 10am to 3pm on Saturday 10 March.
